The default pricing plan is call the Piek & Dal, this may be changed for free once a month. More frequent changes will incur a 5 EUR charge per change.

Activating your service

Your mobile phone number is printed under the last bar code on the reverse side of the O2 packaging and begins 064. It may also be found printed on the envelope containing your SIM card as well as below the actual SIM card in the section titled "Het mobiele nummer is:"

To activate your service:

  1. Travel to Holland.
  2. Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
  3. Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
  4. Turn your phone on.
  5. Enter the default Pin 0000 (4 zeroes)^
  6. Start calling.

* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.

^Your phone may or may not prompt you for a PIN code. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly 3 times. Follow your mobile phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone along with PIN2.

Making and receiving calls

How to make a call

To make an international call from your Holland mobile phone dial 00 (or +), followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.

How family and friends call you

Family and friends need to dial the international prefix, the country code 31 and your mobile phone number, omitting the leading 0 (zero)
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 31 and then your mobile phone number.

Recharging your account

To add credit to your Holland SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called Airtime vouchers.You will find these vouchers at most convenience stores, tabac shops and petrol stations in Holland. They may be purchased in 2 denominations: 10 and 20 Euros.

To recharge your account:

  1. Purchase a recharge voucher.
  2. Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your 14 digit voucher code.
  3. Dial 1224.
  4. Follow the prompts to enter your voucher code.
  5. Start calling

Do not purchase another Holland SIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!

Customer service for your Holland SIM card is available 24/7 by dialing 1244 from your Holland mobile phone.

Service life

Each recharge extends the validity of the SIM card for 12 months from the date of the recharge.

If you do not recharge your SIM card within 12 months, your mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card.
