Coverage
Activating your service
- Travel to India.
- Be sure that the battery is adequately charged.
- Insert the SIM card into your GSM phone*.
- Turn your phone on.
- Dial 121 and select your desired language.
- Start calling.
* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your international mobile phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your mobile phone.
Making and receiving calls
How to make a call
To make an international call from your India mobile phone dial 00 (or +), followed by the country code (1 for the US), area code and phone number.
How family and friends call you
Family and friends need to dial the international prefix then the country code 91 and your mobile phone number.
For example, when calling from the United States, callers need to dial 011 91 and then your mobile phone number.
Recharging your account
To add credit to your India SIM card, you will need to purchase recharge vouchers, also called Airtime vouchers. You will find these vouchers at most local local Tabac shops, convenience stores, TeleRing shops and authorized dealers in India.
You can also add airtime from any shop in India by giving them your mobile phone number and the denomination, how much you want to recharge? It is called Easy Charge.
Airtime vouchers are available in from $ 0.023 to $ 115 denominations.
To recharge your account:
- Purchase a recharge voucher.
- Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your voucher code.
- Dial 123 from your mobile phone
- Enter your 16 divgit PIN code (found on the voucher).
Do not purchase another IndiaSIM card when your credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher!
Contacting Customer Service
Customer service for your India SIM card is available 24/7 by dialing 121 then press 9 from your mobile phone.
Service life
Each time you add credit to the SIM, the validation is extended according to the validity period of each recharge card.
If this credit expires, you then have 60 days to recharge the credit on your SIM card. After this time period, the SIM card will expire.
Handset compatibility
